Electric power, Rolls-Royce refinement
The Spectre uses the marque’s aluminium Architecture of Luxury platform. Its battery is integrated beneath the passenger compartment, contributing to structural stiffness and acoustic isolation. The electric drivetrain gives the car smooth, immediate torque without conventional gear changes.
Planar suspension coordinates the car’s responses to the road, while the long fastback body and rear-hinged doors maintain a recognisable Rolls-Royce identity. Inside, Starlight Doors and an illuminated fascia extend the brand’s approach to bespoke craftsmanship.
A new kind of grand tourer
Rolls-Royce describes Spectre as the spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupé. Its significance lies in bringing electric propulsion to the same kind of long-distance luxury experience, rather than treating electrification as a separate design theme.
The figures above describe the standard Spectre and its confirmed 2023 specification. They are distinct from the later Black Badge model. WLTP range is a laboratory rating; temperature, speed, wheel choice and driving conditions affect usable range. The accompanying photograph shows a later example of the same model.
